Don't upload the file "dd-wrt.v24-18024_NEWD-2_K2.6_big_RT-N66U.trx = 7644 KB" I did it and the my PC couldn't get an IP-address via LAN connection. Was starting the restore function of the router, uploading the origin ASUS firmware again which the recovery tool reported me as restored successfully. Unfortunately, to keep the project at a manageable level for a lone developer, I have decided to drop active support for the older MIPS platform, which means the RT-N66U and RT-AC66U. I believe I bricked my awesome router by attempting to put ddwrt on it. I used the asus firmware recovery utility to place the small image of ddwrt on it While DD-WRT isn't yet available, TomatoUSB (shibby) appears to be. But I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. I just bought an N66U and started the process of flashing dd-wrt onto it via Asus' web GUI. I followed the steps on their wiki and it said 'complete!' I went to do another hard reset, as per the instructions, and no dice. I fear I may have bricked it :( :( The next apparent step to me was
